Customer Testimonials

" I received the old-style mitre plane on Saturday, and it's absolutely stunning. I just stared at it for about 15 minutes, checking out all the little details. Your work has progressed to the stage of true art. It's still highly functional art (gave it a quick pass on some figured cherry), but it goes way, way beyond the ordinary. I don't know what you're going to do next to top this one, but I can't wait to see it! I'm looking forward to the other planes that we've discussed..." PJ in NY
"....The plane indeed arrived today, safe and sound and very well packed. It is fabulous, with a very nice heft, yet fits my hand perfectly. Super fine mouth, gorgeous body with nice details, and fits in my hand like a glove. Words fail me....It far exceeds in quality any other infill plane I own, including several by Spiers and Norris, etc. I am a happy camper!
.... Thank you again for all your hard work and talent. I can't imagine a more finely made plane." PM in CO
"… your plane left a beautiful, even and tactile surface. Not something a machine did, but a person, clean and beautiful." CK in CT
"…much nicer than I had imagined it would be....I want to thank you for the effort that was put into the plane. It was a joy to work with someone who takes pride in their work..." RS in WI
"…The tool is just a joy to use, especially with a low planing bench. The plane starts to make a lot of sense at that height… …After some serious use, I've concluded that this plane works as well as any infill plane modern or vintage that I own or have tried. I'm a believer."

Dear MR. Anderson.

I received the smoothing plane you have executed for me. The plane is magnificent example of quality workmanship as well an example of the great design. This instrument performs splendidly right from the package, producing continuously gossamer thin shavings. The plane is very easy to control and agronomical designed tote is a pleasure to use even for extended periods of time. I have been working as a professional European train antique restorer for over thirty-five years. In my collection of hands tools I have many excellent planes made by Lie Nielsen, Norris, Spiers, Sheppard and Ray Iles, but your plane surpass them all. I would like to thank you very much for creating this exceptional plane for me. It will be a pride of my collection and very usefull instruments in my restoration studio. I would like to congratulate you on your exceptional talents. You are in my opinion one of the most prominent infill plane maker in the whole wide world. It was a pleasure to have this brief but very fruitful encounter with you. Thank you very much again. Best regards.
